Constancy

A man once said to a boy :"Nothing is a constant but change! Everything around us changes. Days go and nights come. The nights go yonder for daylight to ponder. The sun replaces the moon and the moon replaces the sun. Joyful spring follows a bitter winter but winter returns with a vengence as soon as serene autumn leaves us. Everything changes. People are different everyday. We learn something new each day we study or work. We wear different clothes everyday. We have moody days and we have joyful ones. We are not the same everyday"

The boy laughed and replied:"But no matter what, you're the same everyday. Your still a man. You have the genes. Your genes do not change. If not who you are would right?

"My dear child, who told you that you do not change. You do not look like who you were when you were a toddler. No you don't! You grow and grow and mature everyday. Tomorrow your body will get old and you will feel the burden of living. And yet you say I'm still a man? Yes I am one but an old one. You, my boy, will someday become a young strong man. You see. Everything changes. Sands do not shift overnight. But they do...shift!"

Maverick's own ramblings..the boy and the man do not exist...actually they do...boys and men exist but this boy and this old man are figments of my imaginations...haha..
