Papayas

Hahah..learnt something new today. Apparently papayas can increase breast size. It has an active compound known as phytoestrogen that is similar to oestrogen produced by the ovarian cells. So those earning for bigger breast..EAT PAPAYAs (disclaimer: this blog author will play no part in whatever action that you henceforth take...haha!) But really not too much or else you get diarrhoea.

Anyway my group's research question didn't win any prize although it was much better than the papaya group but it's okay. Everything happens for a reason. If we had just put a bit more positivity and effort, maybe we could have pulled throught. But as I said again there's always something to learn anyway. Oh one more thing is that chilli actually increases your metabolic rate to such an extent that you may lose weight. But you have to make sure that you can take in that much chilli or you'll be breating fire from the front and back...if you know what I mean!

Some of the OCS guys are commissioned as officers tomorrow...so my advanced congrats to all my future officers of the SAF as of tomorrow. I know that I can never go through that experiance although I'll become (hopefully) an officer in the support arms.....but not a commissioned one. And that too will happen 7 years later (maybe 6.5 if I'm good).

Lately, I've not been feeling happy about myself...........dunnow why....wait maybe I do know why....but what the heck..school has officially ended for the semester TODAY... while everyone else is at least having holidays for namesake...sorry ET..but you shouldn't join too many CCAs.....don't be another Vicky! Heck.. I've yet to join a proper CCA. I don't wish to be bogged down by them I guess...but I should get one........Consideration!

About breast cancer

Okok.......school has still not ended all thanks to FRS. I'm starting to hate it...especially the stats part of it. I've realised that if you don't practice starts continually, you will forget it. Especially biostats....but managed to spend a whole night pondering over it with alot of help from eileen. I hope she didn't mind :P ....

So what has my group come up with. Firstly there is a slight chance of getting breast cancer by wearing a bra. Why is this so? This is because, current theory suggests that bras impede the flow of lymph via lymph vessels into lymph nodules. This system clears toxins, bacteria and stuff like that. So if this results in the accumalation of toxins that ultimately induces cancer. However this is only in theory.

There are other more important factors though...like havin BRCA1, BRCA2 gene. How do you know whether you have this gene? If either your grandmother, mother or sister had breast cancer, you will have it. There is a high incidence in this case. Other minor factor includes height, obesity and diet....Funny thing is about height. Apparently height causes in increase in downward pull of breast but please this is really nonsensical.

Risks of breast cancer is very high in people who had 1. first menstrual period before the age of 9 2. Last menstrual period after the age of 50 (longer menarche period where more oestrogen is produced. Oestrogen has been known to induce breast cancer as well...like testosterones in the weakening of the immune system.) 3. Yet to bear a child until 30. 4. Never had breastfed.

So from this, it can be induced that the incidences of breast cancer will rise as people get married later and have childbirth even later and a poor diet/ lifestyle. But breast cancer can be detected early. I mean everyone knows the mammogram advertisement. Oh and mammogram.......nevermind...don't want to deter ppl about it.

DOTA and counter strike

A very long long day... started from 2pm and ended @ 4 am... and i'm still not asleep yet. Damn I'm beat! Researching in the earlier part of the day, watching a movie with council, having dinner and plaing LAN until 330 in the morning with Law, moots and ET!!! Hahaha.. thankfully ET got a bus back to Jurong haha!!! Didn't know some...no actually most of the night rider services were closed due to the standard chartered marathon. So the 4 of us assumed tt there would be a right home.. It wasn't a problem for mootz, law and me cus we lived close to each other. But for ET thankfully there was a Nite Owl service by SBS back to Jurong. What a stroke of luck!!! Lesson learnt...1. don't play DOTA and counterstirke until 3 2. Make sure there is a ride back home.......

Now back to research topic....WEARING BRAS CAN CAUSE BREAST CANCER.
How true is this...well to a small extent... but wearing bras excelerates the chances of getting breast cancer.... in addition with other factros involved...i'll talk more about this later.. too tired and eyes are getting really droopy!!
